Still Life Photos and Post Production for Naj Oleari
Naj Oleari Beauty is a cosmetics brand much loved by the younger generation. The sorbet colours, soft textures and floral and fruity scents contribute, together with an extremely recognisable packaging, to recall the very Japanese concept of kawaii, winking at the more vulnerable and childlike side of its users.
Studio Concept ‘s still life photographic campaign for Naj Oleari involved a series of detailed and precise activities, which spanned the entire process, from set preparation, to photo sessions, to the post production of the images. These activities were essential to ensure that the products were presented at their best, with a particular focus on the aesthetic quality and visual coherence of the brand.

Set preparation and still life photography
The initial phase involved the preparation of the photographic set. The study of Naj Oleari products, known for their elegant design and bright colours, led Studio Concept’s creative staff to choose contrasting backgrounds of neutral or pastel shades, ideal for bringing out both the tones of the open packaging and the textures and nuances of the make-up.
Through calibrated focus on textures, the campaign conveys almost tactile sensations, exploiting the effect of product swipes and spills, creating a context in line with the brand identity.
During the photo session, each product was meticulously positioned to achieve the perfect angle and optimum lighting. Lighting was one of the most critical aspects to highlight the textures, colours and details of the products, without creating unwanted shadows or reflections. Softbox lights were used for diffuse and even lighting, enhancing the natural beauty of Naj Oleari products.
Post production, detailed retouching and final preparation
Once the photo session was completed, the images were transferred to the post production team. This phase works one diting the photos to further improve their visual quality. Post production activities focused on colour correction to ensure that the tones were true to life, removing any imperfections and adjusting brightness and contrast to make the image more appealing.
Detail retouching was carried out to emphasise the strengths of each product. For cosmetics, this means increasing the shine of a lipstick or highlighting the silky texture of a cream. Each image was meticulously examined to ensure that Naj Oleari’s high standards were met.
Finally, the final images were formatted for various uses, including catalogues, advertising, social media and websites. Each image was optimised to ensure the best visual quality on each of the chosen platforms, achieving the eye-catching, eye-catching effect characteristic of the brand.
